Upcoming event - Removing the obstacles that stop public service transformation becoming mainstream
Date TBC
Initiated by Better Way Members John Mortimer and Caroline Slocock, we are planning a roundtable this Spring to put our heads together on how to tackle the cultural and other barriers that all too often prevent local innovations becoming standard practice. This comes at an exciting time when the Minister for public service reform in the Cabinet office is Georgia Gould, who has first-hand experience as Leader of Camden Council of how to deliver public service transformation, and we’ve approached her to see if we can get the Cabinet Office involved. She has recently launched a £100m new Test and Learn programme to crack the barriers to innovation in some specific localities and policy areas.
In the meantime, we’re setting up a small working group on the issue and if you want to get more involved or have examples or points you would like to make, please get in touch with Will.
